Farm Fresh Cut Flowers

Contact Us About Our Cut Flowers

Along with our garden plants, we also grow many varieties of specialty cut flowers for use in custom designed bouquets and arrangements. We grow our cut flowers in our own fields and we ensure the flowers are “fresh off the farm” by cutting the flowers as close to delivery as possible. The cut flowers are never stored for more than three days after cutting. We always take great strides in ensuring lasting quality through proper handling and conditioning of all the stems we harvest. Many customers have stated that our flowers bring so much joy and stay so fresh for so long that they always bring about a smile!

We also offer several varieties of flowers, such as lilies and roses, which we may source from other trusted farming friends and/or other flower growing sources. For all the sourced flowers and products, we will clearly indicate the origin in the product description.

If your planning a wedding or special event, (such as parties, family gatherings, showers, etc.), we would love to provide our stems and bouquets for your special events! Our stems and bouquets are also available for decorating at area restaurants, banquet halls, conference centers and professional offices, or delivered locally to area hospitals and nursing homes.

For local florists, we also provide our cut stems as wholesale. All of our cut flower products can either be delivered locally or scheduled for pick-up at the farmers’ market by our local customers. Shipments can be made for areas outside of our local service area that are permitted for shipping under our current Ohio Department of Agriculture regulations.

Cut Flower Services FAQ

Are your cut flower stems available as wholesale?

We do offer our stems in bunches for wholesale. We include an availability list on our Wholesale web page and a weekly availability list can be provided either through email or FAX, when requested. If you’re interested in our stem bunches as wholesale, please contact us through the online form above.

What are the details of your wedding and special event service?

We would love to provide cut flower stems and/or provide custom floral arrangements for your special day! We request a minimum of 2 months prior notice to properly plan the flowers for your wedding. For a special event, such as a weekend party, family gathering, shower, etc. We will just need 3 weeks prior notice.

We are flower farmers, so we do not grow the typical commercial flowers, such as commercial roses, for our cut flowers. We will plan to use our own cut flowers that we grow in our own fields and greenhouses for your wedding or special event. If you wish, you may still choose for us to procure commercial cut flowers, such as commercial roses and lilies, for your event. We also reserve the right to utilize other floral sources if localized situations arise that are out of our control, such as when weather extremes, (drought, severe flooding, etc.), occur that prevents us from utilizing our own field grown cut flowers.

Do you provide a commercial bouquet service?

We do provide a commercial bouquet and decorating service for area restaurants, banquet halls, conference centers and professional offices. If you’re interested in us providing frequent bouquets and decorating for your place of business, you may contact us through the online form above and we will provide further details of our commercial bouquet service.

What types of cut flowers do you use for your bouquets and arrangements?

We use a variety of perennial, annual, everlastings, and herbal flowers! In our mixed bouquets we use what is at the peak of the growing season! Your bouquet may consist of a mix of zinnias, scabiosa, salvia, daisies, grasses, sunflowers, coreopsis, and snapdragons, or maybe a mix of ageratums, bells of Ireland, bachelor’s buttons, celosia, and strawflowers. We also sell bouquets of all one type of some of the varieties mentioned. Our sunflower bouquets include stems of all one variety or a mix of the many sunflower varieties we grow.  We also offer a bunch of snapdragons, gladiolas, or zinnias, mixed or all one color.

By growing a huge assortment of flowers here on our farm, we can offer you whatever you want for your enjoyment! Our bouquet selections change with what is at the peak of the season, so check with our online store often!

How fresh are your flowers and how long they do last?

We cut our flowers as close to delivery as possible. We cut our flowers nearly every morning and never store our cut flowers for more than 2-3 days. The most important element to maintaining freshness of our flowers is our proper handling and conditioning of all the stems we harvest. Thanks to the proper handling and conditioning, when you properly follow our care instructions included with each bouquet, you can expect your flowers to last a week from delivery.

What if we will miss the farmers’ market that week or if we go on vacation and/or will not be available for acceptance of the flower delivery?

If you will not be available for local delivery, or unavailable for pick-up at the weekly Farmers’ Market, please advise us and we can possibly set up alternative arrangements.

If you make a purchase from our website, and will be unavailable for receipt of delivery, please make arrangements for someone to properly care and hydrate the flowers upon receipt or advise us a minimum of 3 days advanced notice to attempt to revise the shipping schedule or refund your purchase.

With all of our products that we offer, we will provide thorough instructions for handling and proper receiving instructions with the order confirmation.

What happens if we still want the delivery but no one is available at delivery time?

Flowers are perishable, so we definitely recommend that someone is available to receive delivery for proper care and hydration as soon as possible. We take great strides through proper handling and conditioning to ensure your flowers are of the best quality at receipt, so we hope you’re as excited about properly receiving your flowers as we are in preparing your bouquets for you!

We reserve the right to hold delivery if we are concerned about weather extremes that the shipped flowers may encounter, such as below freezing temperatures or extreme summer heat conditions. Sometimes Mother Nature surprises everybody, so if the flowers experience a bit of weather extremes after shipment, the quality of your flowers may be compromised if no one is available to receive delivery and properly care for the flowers as required.

If no one is available at delivery time and the shipper deems it unsafe to leave the package for weather, theft, or other concerns, the shipper may reserve the right to leave a ‘request for pickup’ notice.

In any case, Spring Haven Farms LLC is not responsible for any shipment that is not properly received upon delivery.

What if we are not satisfied with the bouquets we received?

We will provide thorough instructions on damages, returns and exchanges with each product we provide. We are firmly committed to your 100% satisfaction of all of our products upon receipt. If there is a problem upon receipt, please notify us as instructed in the receipt instructions immediately. If you notify us the same day that your flowers were received and detail the damage or explain why you are not satisfied, we will offer to reship the product or resolve the issue as soon as possible.

As mentioned, our flowers are provided in peak of season and we take great strides to ensure lasting quality and freshness. We are also not a typical florist, so your bouquets will not resemble a commercial floral arrangement. With that in mind, the actual bouquet received may differ from the one appearing on our website. We also cannot guarantee products that were not properly received upon delivery. We will not be responsible for orders that were provided with incorrect details or not properly receiving the products upon delivery.
